02-15-2005, 2048: Wow, haven't updated this space in a while. Just dropped in to let you people know that I'm not dead. And to tell you that I'm thinking of drastically redesigning the website. Any help with the coding would be vastly appreciated.
Brady out.
12-19-2004, 2212: Just so you know, I'm thinking of changing the update schedule. Not permanently, mind you, but until I get caught up with things here. I'm defintely going to only Monday and Friday updates next week, but thats because I'm going to be out of town with no way of updating. So... yeah.
Brady out.
12-17-2004, 1542: Changed script? What changed script? What are you talking about?
Brady out.
11-02-2004, 2135: Welcome, to everyone who has come from halo.bungie.org! Welcome to w00tness! I hope you enjoy your stay! Look around, take your shoes off, and try not to spill any cheet-o's on the carpet :P
Brady out.
10-31-2004, 2204: I'd say happy Halo-ween, but by the time you read this, it'll be morning and halloween'll be over. Well, I made a promise back at this comic, and I'm finally making good on that promise. Coincidence that I'm timing the Covenant storyline right when Halo 2 comes out? Maybe, but probably not. Enjoy, my loyal fans! And yes, I'm talking to all 3 of you :P
Brady out.
10-26-2004, 2206: Here's the comic - or should I say art day. For some reason, I wanted to start the Covenant storyline on a Monday, since I seem to do that with the comic storylines - they always start on Monday. But whatever. Enjoy the next art day on Friday.
Brady out.
10-24-2004, 2035: Well, it turns out that I had more time than I origionally thought, and decided to make a monday comic after all.
Brady out.
10-21-2004, 2135: More than a month since updating this space, eh?
I really don't like this comic. It feels rushed. Unfortunately I probably won't get mondays comic up on time. It'll go up on Wednesday. Why? Because I'm going to Vegas this weekend to see Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer Band. So I'm not going to be able to do anything for monday.
Brady out.
09-21-2004, 2205: Hey there. I haven't really updated this space in a while, have I? Oh well. I guess I haven't really had much to say, really.
Well, the origional Star Wars trilogy has finally come out on DVD. Now, you may be saying to yourself, "I'm sure that Star Wars Fanboy of the author must've gone to Best Buy right away to get himself that DVD!" In reality, I haven't gotten it, and I don't plan on it for quite some time. Why you ask? Because they are the special edition Star Wars Trilogy versions. You know, the horrible one where Alderran shoots first instead of the Death Star. I meant Greedo shooting Han. Either way, it's just as stupid. And I'm proud to have the old VHS tapes of the Star Wars Trilogy, BEFORE it was ruined by Lucas insisting on "fixing" what wasn't broken.
Parco has been my ass lately for not being on FFXI enough. Well, excuse ME, mr. I'm so better than you. Is it my fault that I'm trying not to fail my advanced classes that I'm taking? Is it my fault that I have a comic that I faithfully put out every three days? Is it my fault that I have other responsibilities than getting to level 15, or whatever the hell you wanted me to do?
Anyways, I've started up a new RPG on The FORUM. So VOTE VOTE VOTE!
Brady out.
09-09-2004, 2227: Double comic. Uber spiffy.
Brady out.
09-05-2004, 2259: Here's the comic. I hope you like it.
I noticed that you people aren't Voting like I want you to. Go to The Forums and talk about it, won't you? GO NOW! THE UPPERCASE TEXT COMPELLS YOU!
Brady out.
09-02-2004, 2218: Here's the comic. Hoorj for the Raiders victory against the Rams!
I've been doing some neat stuff. Not the least of which is playing a demo of this game that's going gold next month called Evil Genius. It's a strategy game similar to Dungeon Keeper, except you take control of a bond-esq type supervillain complete with evil lair, hordes of minions, and a 60's decor. It's really campy, funny, and the demo (which is short - you can play through it in about 30 to 40 minutes) is fun. It should be a good game.
And Parco and Hoot are still telling me to play FFXI more. Meh.
Anyways, I noticed that you people aren't Voting like I want you to. Go to The Forums and talk about it, won't you?
Brady out.
08-29-2004, 2137: Good news and bad news time again, people. The good news is that I've gotten all of this weeks comics done, so I can promise that all of them will be up online and on time this week.
The bad news is that I have to start skool tomorrow. That means that I may not be able to get all the updates in on time. I'll try to as hard as I can, but after this friday, no promises will be made.
Also, I have some good news that only relates to me. I finally got the Outlaw Star Perfect Collection Box Set on Saturday when I went down to San Francisco to see my girlfriend. I would just like to let everyone know that getting that is just so unbelievably awesome! w00t!
Brady out.
08-26-2004, 2320: Holograms, starships, and plot. What more could you ask for? Eh? Blood you say? Gore? Horribly painful bisections? Just wait.
Brady out.
08-24-2004, 2320: Here's the comic. Sorry I updated only slightly late - I was watching Full Metal Jacket. After seeing it, I think I have some inspiration for future comics. And such. Whatever.
Brady out.
08-22-2004, 2216: Here's the comic. To make up for the total suckitude of fridays comic (aside from the robot, that is), here's a comic with plenty of explosions and Akira Toriyama style energy blasts. I like it only slightly better than fridays comic. I still think it could be better, however.
Brady out.
08-19-2004, 2030: For the reccord, I hate this comic. It is the most rushed comic I've done since I started using color. That is all.
Brady out.
08-17-2004, 2158: Here be the comic. Not much to say, except that the girls look so short because Moog in his evil human form is about 8'2".
Anyways, I just wanted to let everyone know, for some reason, that I'm still working on a lot of the projects I've told you about in these little blurbs. I'm working on and off on the w00tness d20 rpg, and I still want to do a mega man flash movie. Unfortunately, I have to figure out how to work Flash first. Speaking of projects, I was thinking of doing a Halo movie with all my friends. 'Course, I need to get some video editing software first.
I also need to figure out how to get the archive menu bar working. And I have to get the extras menu working.
But I can't work on it this weekend, because I'm going to San Fran, and I'm going to see my girlfriend.
Brady out.
08-15-2004, 2000: And here is the end of the first actual storyline. The next storyline will start on Wednesday.
Something that I hope everyone has noticed is that I've been trying to get the comics done with very few filler art day comics. However, this may change on the 30th, because that is when the most horrible thing this summer will happen - School will start. *shudder*
So I went to see AVP on friday, as those of you who frequent The Forum already know. I thought it was really bad ass. There were parts that were just so insanely awesome (like the first actual battle between an Alien and a Predator), and then there were some parts that I really hated.
But don't let my ranting stop you! See it and then rant about that and other random shit on The Forum. Maybe you can't tell, but I'd really like you to visit The Forum. I think that everyone who reads this comic should visit The Forum, and, hell, while you're at it, you should visit the w00tness IRC channel as well!
And remember to VOTE VOTE VOTE!
Brady out.
08-13-2004, 0756: Well, here's the comic. Those of you that read the forum have already seen this, since I posted it there at around 2230 last night.
This seems like the end of the storyline, but it's not. There's one more comic to go, and then we can move on to the next storyline. And ladies, I think you'll like it, since I think there's been enough fanservice for the guys in this storyline.
Brady out.
08-10-2004, 2235: GASP! A double comic! What did I tell you? I told you it would be a double comic! I felt it needed it, just to move the story along. But anyways. ACTION! BLOOD! EXCESSIVE CLEAVAGE! W00T!
Brady out.
08-08-2004, 2150: Here's the comic. Enjoy it!
Brady out.
08-05-2004, 2126: I have great news people! First, I actually started working on THE FORUMS!!!!11oneone
Yes, yes, I am amazing. Also, I have somre more news as well! I also have had an Official w00tness IRC Channel set up! Isn't that just great?
Brady out.
08-03-2004, 2001: *GASP'D!*
Brady out.
08-02-2004, 2013: And here's the comic that I wanted to put up last night but couldn't.
Something interesting to note about this comic. Unlike how I usually make the comics (scanning in the pen lines on black and white) I scanned in the pencil lines on greyscale and then made a new layer, making all the pen lines in photoshop. There are good things and bad things about this. The good is that it looks, in my opinion anyways, a whole lot cleaner than other comics that I've done. The downside is that while inking by hand with a real pen takes about 15 minutes to a half hour, inking it on totally on photoshop took about two hours. Which is a long time to pen it on a tablet.
Just so you know, all that stuff in the bottom panel actually says stuff. If you want to find out what it means, then you can email me. I know this sounds weird, but I get almost no email from fans. I don't know why that is. Maybe my email isn't large enough.
So people, please, I would really appreciate some fan mail. Mmyep. *Goes off to Vana'diel to try in vain to level his warrior*
Brady out.
08-02-2004, 0014: Well, I just got back from a Shakespeare at Lake Tahoe thing which lasted a lot longer than I expected. Add on top of that the fact that I have finally gotten, and am playing on Unicorn Server, Final Fantasy XI, you can probably guess that this is filler for a time when I couldn't get the comic in. Whatever. I'll get it in on Tuesday.
Brady out.
07-29-2004, 2204: And Fridays comic be up. This is the first time that we see an Elfish city, but definitely not the last.
however, the big news for today is that I've got the links bar up there semi working! w00t! There isn't a cast page to speak of, and I haven't figured out how I'm going to set up the extras page, BUT! I do have the plot outline and I also have the links page up and running! w00t! z00t! Shizz00t!
...
Ok, I promise never to do that again.
Brady out.
07-27-2004, 2231: Here are the two comics I promised! w00t! And who cares if you can't understand the seccond one! It's still two comics! Ah, whatever.
Brady out.
07-26-2004, 0939: Well, here's a late comic. I forgot to update it. But, because of the lack of an actual comic last friday, I'll give you people an extra comic on wednesday, just for you trouble.
If you have been following Halo 2, then you know about the newest trailer. Something wierd happened at the end of the trailer however. The www.xbox.com changed to www.ilovebees.com. That caused a real big uproar in the Halo community. I'll admit, it's really weird, but there's one thing I'm sure of. That ilovebees site is just some big promotional scheme for Halo 2. And you know what? Since there's a thread on the Bungie forums Thats around 300 pages long, I'd say it worked.
Brady out.
07-22-2004, 2254: You know something? I actually tried to get the comic up on time, but I had a whole shit load of stuff to do today, so now I just don't really give a shit. So here's another trusty Art Day to make sure that there's some content for you ungrateful little monkeys.
Things have been hectic. I'm gonna try and actually get the comics for next week all done this weekend. Hopefully. Whatever.
Brady out.
07-20-2004, 2216: Comics up. I kind of feel like I half assed it, tho, since I started it around 1500 this afternoon. Ah well. Whatever.
Brady out.
07-18-2004, 2246: And I have the comic up, after being gone for a week. You know, I would say I was sorry, but then again, if I said I was sorry, I'd be admitting that updating this comic on time was a requirement for my very existance, when it's actually more of a gift I give to you people because I enjoy it. So enjoy it while you can, because I really will give no guarantees that this comic will be updated on wednesday.
In other words, doing hard work just leads to harder work.
Brady out.
07-08-2004, 2034: Here's the comic, up before 10pm. Mmyep. Not much to say about this, except that this is the last comic you people will get to see for a while. See, next week, I'll be at a journalism camp in Palo Alto, and I won't have access to a computer or anything like that. So... yeah. Anyways, here's the comic, hope you enjoy it, it'll be the last one you'll see for a week.
Brady out.
07-06-2004, 2245: Man. I had forgotten how hard coding HTML was. And when I say hard, I mean SO RIDICULOUSY BORING. I'm going to try to get the HTML finished by tomorrow, and the rest of the site all set up by thursday. I really do hope. I don't think I'll be able to, however.
Brady out.
07-04-2004, 2157: HAPPY FIREWORKS DAY! Anyways, I know the previous comic link isn't working, but I'll try and have most of the pages for the comics uploaded into the new site by tomorrow. Tuesday at the latest. I promise.
Brady out.
07-01-2004, 2116: Here's the comic. Right now, I'm in the long process of moving all my files from this site to the new site. However, just moving the files isn't all thats involved. I'm thinking of completely reworking the entire interface. It'll look a lot spiffeh-er when I'm finished, and hopefully a lot more professional.
Little note - even though Zach's hair has been black so far in the comic, real life Zach got his hair bleached, so I'm changing his comic character slightly to match that.
Brady out.
06-30-2004, 1804: I finally got hosted. For those who have been coming from http://duo.vacantmind.com, you won't have to update your bookmarks. Everyone else, will need to use that from now on. Just a little heads up!
Brady out.
06-19-2004, 2128: Just so you know, I'm running out of space on my site, so updates might be a little wacky. I will have the updates, however. Don't think that this art day is going to replace monday's comic. It won't.
Brady out.
06-18-2004, 0657: Sorry for the lack of rantage last night. Didn't feel like saying anything.
However, today marks the end of the transition phase. On monday, there will finally be a new storyline. Still in the same universe however.
BUT WAIT! I know that guy in the last panel, you say! Where have I seen him before? Oh, that's right! On the Art Page. If you still don't know who I'm talking about, look here.
Yes, it's true. This new direction that I've taken w00tness is almost exactly like what w00tness origionally was going to be. With a few differences, of course... heh.
Anyways, see you all on monday.
Brady out.
06-15-2004, 2115: Well, here's the comic. I told you that it would be good, and it would make up for Monday. Anyways, today, we witness the triumphant return of Moog. But where is he? Why is he chained, bloodied, and bruised? And who is the holder of that ominous voice from offscreen?
You'll have to wait till friday.
Brady out.
06-13-2004, 2110: Here's the comic. Sorry for the minimalist approach today. I was short of time, since Wednesdays and Fridays comics will be incredibly detailed and intricate. Oops! I almost said too much... *Evil Grin*
Brady out.
06-10-2004, 2129: Here's the comic. Just so you know, thats General Kasey in the middle there. Just in case that wasn't clear.
Brady out.
06-08-2004, 2144: Well, here's an on time update for once. Not much to say about it, except that I'm going to try and make actual images for the art gallery of the two ambassadors in the seccond panel sometime in the future.
Brady out.
06-07-2004, 1315: I'm not sure if the lack of
rantings have been good or not, but whatever. I just haven't found that
I needed to say anything that hadn't already been said in that little
blurb above the comic.
I do have news however. the Art Page
has been updated. I made a pic of Draenor, from WC III. I think you'll
like it.
Brady out.
05-22-2004, 2031: just a quick thing today. First comcis will resume on monday, but no promises for wednesday or friday. Also, next mondays comic will not be posted until Wednesday, since Memorial Day weekend, I will be out of town, and away from any computers of any type.
Also, I have some news - w00tness now has linking banners! w00t! Just save this image to your page, and link back to w00tness.
Booyah.
Brady out.
05-19-2004, 0652: Wow. This is the first time I haven't updated the night before in a long time. And I'm sure it won't be the last until my finals are over. In fact, I'm not even sure I'll be able to update at all. I'll try, but no promises.
Brady out.
05-16-2004, 2120: You may or may not notice with this comic, but the quality is slightly better. That's because I have finally switched from using gif files (which horrendously surrealize the gradients) to what most webcomics use (png format).
I know you don't probably care, but I just wanted to mention that.
Also, it has come to my attention that some of you thought that the Hellhounds were all squished when parco fired the rocket launcher, and this comic is a moot point. Well, to be quite honest, all those orange dots on the rocket launcher comic were hellhounds. There are about 8 bazillion of them. Indeed.
Brady out.
05-11-2004, 2100: Goddamnit. I hate skool. I hate people. I hate everything except the internet and Halo. Whatever. It's just one of those moods today.
I didn't feel like doing the comic, but here's some art day goodness that I did. Whatever.
And yes, I know about the broken links, and that I need to update the archive page, and a lot of other things. I'll try and get to it this weekend, but I'm not sure.
Blah. I'm gonna go play on Derelict now.
Brady out.
05-07-2004, 0638: Oh. My. Gawd. Have you seen RPG World yet? The Guest comic that I did actually ran! WOOHOO!
Seriously. When I got the email from IanJ, I nearly fainted I was so amazed that I got chosen. And for Friday no less!
And if you're coming here from RPG World, Welcome to the World of W00tness! Take off your shoes, have some chips, and make yourself at home! I hope you enjoy my work.
Anyways, about the comic. I actually would have had this finished earlier and posted before this morning, but the first time I did it, Photoshop spontaneously opened about 18 of the help menus all by itself. Which means that 2 minutes before I could've been done, Photoshop crashed, and I had to start from scratch (that'll teach me not to save every 2 secconds from now on. Silly me for thinking technology could be dependable).
But, I got it done, and I actually like the coloring on this one better than the first one that is lost forever in the vast ethereal data arrays of my Alienware.
And if you can't figure out that last panel, those big chunks of building that Parco shot at are about to fall on the hellhounds and make them little hellhound pancakes. When I made it, I wasn't sure if that was clear or not.
Brady out.
05-05-2004, 0631: Here's the comic. For some reason, I don't like the coloring for it. Maybe it's because, even though I spent about 4 or 5 hours on it, it still looks like I half assed it. Ah well. I'll try and make fridays comic look semi-good.
Brady out.
05-02-2004, 2130: Comicness-ness-ness-ness-ness!
Brady out.
04-29-2004, 2055: Here's the comic. I really don't like this one (Can you say "filler?"), because there is no action, and it's mainly just talking. Besides, I tried to get semi-good coloring, but instead I came back with real blah coloring. And no, I did not forget to put in the shading. Since the laboratory is so well lit, there are no shadows. Unless Duo says there are. So there.
Oh, and something else: I finally finished and sent out that fan art that I promised Eric A at Radioactive Panda so long ago. The fanart is located here or in the art section.
Brady out.
04-28-2004, 0644: Sorry for the semi-late update. At least I got it in. New wallpaper. Check it out. Gotta go.
Brady out.
04-26-2004, 2042: I got something to show all you nifty folks out there wherever you are. w00tness now has WALLPAPERS! w00t! check em out here: wallpapers!
Brady out.
04-25-2004, 2041: Here's the comic. I'm sorry about the lack of ranting the past few days. It's just that I haven't had anything to say. However, I do have wednesdays comic done, and I'll have fridays comic done as well.
I also have some more done with the d20 w00tness rpg. Which is really cool.
Brady out.
04-20-2004, 2117: Here's the comic. I'll let you figure out the meaning on your own, so there's really no rant today.
Brady out.
04-20-2004, 0652: Ok, sorry for the relative lack of a rant yesterday. But mom made me get off.
anyways, this is the new direction that w00tness is going in. Instead of a comic about nothing, like it was, I decided to actually make a real storyline, that the whole comic is going to be about.
Also, you may think that there's a new character today. Nope, not the case. The chick with the purple shirt and blondeish hair is indeed Ray. To be honest, that's the color I origionally wanted it, but I forgot to make it that. Anyways, the real reason that I changed her hair color was because I was getting complaints that people couldn't tell the difference between Ray and Rachel, my girlfriend. Personally, I thought the elf ears and glasses were enough, but it's obviously not so.
Comic will appear on time tonight.
Brady out.
04-19-2004, 2129: Here's the comic. Expect the comic for wednesday to come at the regular time.
I'll rant more tomorrow, but the mother is forcing me off the computer.
Brady out.
04-18-2004, 2112: Meh. I had a semi-party type thing on saturday that lasted 10 hours. I'm making my own RPG based off the d20 system. I just finished a crapload of homework. I wanted to do the comic, but then I just said "fuck it" and went back to playing Shinobi. Comic will be in on tuesday, and then the updates will proceed normally. Or whatever.
Brady out.
04-15-2004, 2002: Yo. Well, cue the dramatic music, and hit the lights, because things are looking pretty grim for our hero's.
But enough about those bastards, I have news. Parco has been bugging me to get ff11 so much that I've been forced to wear earplugs around him.
Not only that, but I'm going to try to update the archive (GASP!) and make it a lot easier to read and find comics. yeah.
Brady out.
04-13-2004, 2018: Yo. Comic be up. But I bet you already knew that. I think people will enjoy the spiffyness of the coming comics.
Mainly because of the new direction that I keep mentioning. And you can see that the comics are slowly changing themselves. Just wait till later.
Brady out.
04-12-2004, 1828: Yo. Sorry I got the comic in late.
Parco: You fucking lazy bastard
Duo: What the - how did you get into my rant?
Parco: Nevermind that. Just make sure you get the comics in on time from now on. I don't want to leave ff11 again to call you a lazy bastard again.
Duo: Wait, I'm a lazy bastard? And this is coming from a guy who hasn't updated his sprite comic since the comic started?
Parco: Fucktard.
Duo: Whatever. Oh, by the way - I added something to the comic. I put in a title. w00t!
Brady out.
04-09-2004, 0702: Sorry for the lack of a rant the other day. I was busy with other things.
And this comic is sdelf explanatory as well, so I'll just leave it at that.
Brady out.
Rant initiated
04-04-2004, 1816: I don't think that I'm going to get the comic done by tonight for posting tommorrow, so here's a w00tness art day. It's a preview of what is going to come in the comic in the coming weeks. There's going to be a helluv a lot more action.
Brady out.
04-03-2004, 1100: Yo. Here's a new comic.
Just so you know, the first few panels are supposed to look like that. Since the universe is no more, the outside of the lab (the big box thing) looks sketchy and unfinished. And just to give you an idea - the lab is about 3 miles long, 2 miles wide, and a half mile tall. It's really fucking huge.
Anyways, this is the beginning of the end for our hero's. The comic will not end, but like I said before, it's going in a totally new direction. Be prepared for some really drastic changes in the coming weeks.
Brady out.
03-30-2004, 0612: New comic. Blarg.
Brady out.
03-28-2004, 1604: I just got back from Tahoe, so don't expect the comic to come until Tuesday.
Brady out.
03-23-2004, 2000: So I forgot the speech bubbles. Bah. I'll try and get them tomorrow, but no promises. Skool has been a bitch.
Anyways, this comic is the turning point in w00tness. Up until now, the comic has been a gamer comic, where you'd have to be a gamer or a fan of anime (or preferably both) to understand the jokes. Now, however, there will be a significant change in the tone of the comic. There will be less jokes, but there will be a story that doesn't rely on anyones knowledge of games or anime.
Besides, I was getting tired of the joke a day format anyway.
w00tness now is going in a completely different direction, that I hope is for the better. It's going to be a lot more dramatic, and I'm getting slightly better at photoshop, so the art will hopefully get better. Please, send comments both good and bad to my email. They will be taken into full consideration, and I will cherish what few fanmail letters I get.
Oh, and by the way - that is my real name.
Brady out.
03-23-2004, 0650: To Be Continued! So I'll get to the speech bubbles tonight. I'll also explain what this means for w00tness in greater detail.
Duo out.
03-21-2004, 2151: Meh. I've fixed the hole in my head, but that doesn't mean that I've gotten the comic done. Skool has gotten in the way. Damn english teacher. Anywho, I'll try to get the comic finished by this afternoon.
Oh, and I'd expect only 2 comics this week.
Duo out.
03-13-2004, 1441: As you can see, The artist has suffered a new orfice to the head, and until it's fixed, I can't do any comics.
Duo out.
03-09-2004, 2023: Hey. I almost got the comic in on time. I'm shit tired, so I'll draw the speech bubbles tomorrow afternoon. Same with uploading Parco's FFXI review.
Shit, I'm tired. I'm hittin the sack. *sleeps*

03-08-2004, 0640: Heyo. Got the comic in semi on time. Mmyep. Have you seen Parco's Halo Review? There is a Final Fantasy XI review in there as well, but I just haven't uploaded it yet. I'll upload that one possibly this afternoon. Mmyep.
Wednesdays comic will be the start of an actual storyline. And, hopefully, the start of some actual good art from me. W00T!
Duo out.
03-06-2004, 1049: Sorry for the late update. I'll try to get next weeks comics in on time.
I got a new hat. It's an Xbox hat that I bought off of Parco the other day,and it is a really kick ass hat. I may start drawing myself in the hat from now on. I like this hat.
Today is the first comic that features one of the new characters: Stef, the succubus. w00tness. She'll have a better opening on monday. Trust me.
Also, I just wanted to let you know that Parco has finally reviewed Final Fantasy 11 and Halo: Combat Evolved for the PC. How he can do Halo I'm not sure, because he's told me numerous times that his game lags like hell whenever he gets to a checkpoint on campaign mode. Whatever. I'll try and post them later today.

03-02-2004, 2024: Heyo, everybody. How's it hangin'? I've been playing Halo all afternoon. Mostly. However, I did go to the eye doctors. Mmyep. I needs me some new glasses. Anyways, I'm dead tired, so I'm hittin the sack.

03-02-2004, 0824: HOLY FREAKING SHIT! Star Wars Fans, REJOYCE! The Covers to the Star Wars DVD Collection have just been accidentally-on-purpose leaked by the creators. It's on a French site now. Take a look.
Duo out.
03-01-2004, 2024: Yoz. Here be the comic.
Just so you know, Venn isn't supposed to really be saying anything except just some random technobabble. Mmyep.
Not much else to say. Just read the comic.
Oh, by the way - Rick got back to me about the forum being down - he says that it isn't his fault, and his account just got suspended for some reason that he still is unaware of.
Duo out.
02-27-2004, 1842: Yo. Just wanted everyone to know that I got some new art up in the art page. You can check that out here.
You wanna know something? I've had the Appleseed Trailerplaying on a continuous loop on my computer for... oh... I'd say about the last 2 hours or so. It's just that badass.

02-26-2004, 1946:Hello all. I told you I'd get friday's comic in on time. So booyah.
Something really cool - I have my hompage set to Slashdot, and they had a very interesting article on the front page this morning. It seems that Masamune Shirow, the guy who did my favorite anime movie with the "Blade Runner Effect" (The "Blade Runner Effect" is when a movie is so supremely and awesomely cool, but just leaves you going "What the hell....?"), called Ghost in the Shell, also did another movie which wasn't as popular. Well, he's made a sequel to GitS (the trailer is available here) called "Innocence", and he's also made a remake of the other anime, Appleseed. Check out that trailer here, and read the entire article in slashdot. You know, it's this kind of shtuffs that make me want to learn japanese. I mean, really.
Something interesting - those two new characters, Venn and Xazz are not based, in any way, shape, or form, on any of my friends. Unlike the other characters in the comic, these two origionated from my meaty head space.
More comicry will commence on monday.
Duo out.
02-25-2004, 2002: Well, here be the comic. Sorry about the lateness, but it couldn't really be helped. I'll try to get Friday's comic in on time. Yeah.
Anyways, in other news... do I have news? Oh yeah!
...
No, wait, that isn't news.
'course, there IS the fact that one of the new characters is in todays comic. w00! You'll get properly introduced to them on Friday's comic. Also, Friday will be the introduction of the new storyline, so that's always a good thing.
Speaking of which, I haven't really drawn Moog in his entirety in a while. Have I mentioned how fun it is to draw him? It really is. Yeah.
And yes, the aliens have blue skin. Get over it.

02-23-2004, 2200: The comic is running a little behind this week, so expect an update on thursday.
Duo out.
02-22-2004, 2052: W00! The comic be up! Yahoo!
In other news, the storyline will commence on wednesday. Other than that, just enjoy the filler-ness until I start the story. And be prepared for a total of 5 new characters. 2 of the characters don't actually exist in real life, unlike the rest of the cast, since they are all based off of real people.
I have a review of the Painkiller Demo up. You should read it. Now.
As you can see, I also have a new main page image... thing. Mmyep.
You know, I actually thought that I'd have more to say, since this is the first post for an actual comic in a while.
But I don't. Ah well.
One thing tho - you may have noticed that the forums are down. Which means that I'm going to have Zach give Rick a talking-to. With a very big, heavy, steel bat kind of talking-to.

02-19-2004, 2052: Well, I have good news, more good news, and bad news. The good news is that my parents are not really as evil as I have made them out to be in the past, and them taking away both my keyboard and scanner was completely justified, since I punched a really big hole in my bathroom wall.
The more good news is this - the comics will finally start up again, starting this Monday! w00! So far, all this time that I've not had a scanner, I've been drawing for the comic, and I'm even going to add 3 new characters, since their real life counter-parts have been nagging me so much. But nagging me in a good way.
One of the new characters you already know: N1Nj4 B0b, also known as Z4cK. Another character is his girlfriend, Ally, and the third and final character is going to be Stef. I'll let you figure out who each of those people are in time.
However, I now also have some bad news (awww...) Since the Halo storyline has been interrupted so many times, I've decided to just forget about it, and not finish it. It's not worth it, and everyone knows what would've happened anyways. I'll possibly do another one, but that won't be until Halo 2 comes out.
Also - I have some news! I know this is a bit late, but I still want to get it out. UT 2004 demo. Download it now. It kicks so much ass it's incredible. And it's only the demo. Wow. One thing that I noticed, however, and I'm not sure if UT 2004 took this from Halo 2 or vice versa, but if you walk over an enemy assault rifle in UT, then you have two rilfes like when master chief pulls out the two submachine guns in the E3 gameplay video. Oh well.
Duo out.
02-09-2004, 0649: I said I'd make it up to you. And so I am with this double sized comic! w00!
This is the start of the really big comics this week. I'm actually trying to work a lot harder on them, and they should be a lot better looking. I hope. They'll at least have a lot more explosions in the coming days. *evil grin*
I saw Miracle this weekend. Parents dragged me to it, and I figured "What the hell." It was actually pretty good. It wasn't what I was expecting from a Disney movie. Maybe it was because it was a true story. Maybe it was because they actually used the telecast from those games, which they could do, since ABC always keeps all it's shit on file. Personally, I think it was because Kurt Russel's helmet hair acted as a sponge for all the Disey suckage.
You wanna know something? That Halo 2 E3 video gets better and better every time I see it. It really does. I don't know why, but it seems more and more badass. So does the Onimusha 3 video. Seriously, check it out. Samanoske kicks ass.

02-07-2004, 1118: Well, as promised on the forums, I got the comic in before noon. woo! And speaking of the forums, the reason I am excessively linking it, is because the forums need members. Get it now? If you like w00tness, and you read it, and you're just as insane as we are, the COME ONE DOWN TO THE FORUMS! W00!
Anyways. Not much to talk about right now. Except the fact that I know this comic is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY beyond sucking. However, I do believe that w00tness sucking is going to end on Monday, when I promise to give you the biggest comic I've ever given you. And then Wednesday is going to top that. Yes, next week is going to be a cool week. Discuss it at the forums! *gets pummeled by the excessive plug boulder*
*Aherm* Anyways. There's a site that I visited recently that I want to share with everyone: Halo.iBonk.com. This site is so freakin' cool. This site has about a zillion Halo movies where they do all this wierd shit - going through walls, flipping warthogs (or scorpions) about a zillion feet in the air, moving above the edge of the game map... crazy shit like that. It's really cool.
Well, I'm outta here. After I go to a movie with my folks (see: play games at the arcade), I'm gonna come back and work on Monday's comic. Because next week will be a special week to be had by all.
Duo out.
02-04-2004, 0613: I got the comic in late. Big deal. I was reminded by Parco yesterday that I really shouldn't feel compelled to get the comic in on time, and just post whenever I damn well feel like it. Maybe. I dunno. All I do know is that I got the comic up.
Bleh. This story will go somewhere probably tomorrow. If I get the comic done.
Also - the guy running from the explosion is Hoot. And no, he's not wearing pink armor, his armor is Salmon ("It's the color of Champions!" he says. Meh)
Also - sorry about the typo. I might fix it later. Maybe not. But I do know this - I have to get some food, and then I have to get to skool, so I gotta go.

01-29-2004, 2024: Wow. After getting some help from Eric A., the artist behindRadioactive Panda, I think I'm getting just a bit better at Photoshop. And although he says it's easy, I still haven't figured out how to do the tails to the word bubbles (what you see for the word bubbles are pre-rendered bubble things). Ah well. Thanks for all the help, Eric!
The Forums are up! Please go! Join! It looks bare now, but when a lot of the w00tness fans come, then it'll be less bleak! w00!
I plan on giving the site a complete redesign this weekend, along with making a fuckton of comics, to make me really, really, REALLY ahead of schedule. And if I do that, then I'll have less late updates that are actually my fault! Double w00!
Duo out.
01-28-2004, 0613: No, I didn't get the comic in late, and no, I'm not going to have a comic for tuesday. Since I've looked at my latest work, and concluded that I royally SUCK at Photoshop, the schedule is going to move to a M-W-F schedule, until I can figure out how things work.
01-26-2004, 0702: Oh. My. Gawd. w00tness is back, and it's better than ever. The comic is now officially in color, and it shall remain so until my alienware breaks. So... yeah. And yes, even though I took that two week long haitus, I'm going to continue with the Halo storyline, since I've already promised everyone I talked to about it that I would, in fact, continue it.
Some more actual news. I contacted a friend of mine, and he set up some forums that are hosted at his site. This can mean only one thing: W00TNESS FORUMS!!!! How cool is that? Rick, you are the epitome of cool.
Duo out.
01-25-2004, 1757: Ok, I have bad news, good news, and more good news.
t3h b4d n3wz: The plan to network my old shitty computer to my Alienware has been a complete failure. The files on my old computer are not lost, but since I backed up all my important files onto zip disks (my alienware has no zip drive) my old computer has essentially become a giant paperweight.
t3h g00d n3wz: Mary (the guest comic artst) has gotten her website up and running: Mary Comics. So now you can see TWO up and coming webcomic artists at work. w00!
t3h r34lly g00d n3wz: I got a new SCANNER! HELLZ YEAH! It was one of the cheaper ones at Best Buy (it's an hp scanjet 3970), but I don't need much except the ability to scan in comic line art. There were some there that were scanners, printers, and fax's. Who the hell needs all that crap? I have a good enough printer (which, for some reason, is out of yellow ink and nothing else), and I never send faxes anyways, so... whatever.
Heres some more news: I'm going to get the comic back up by (hopefully) tomorrow.
Even more news: I have photoshop. So they will be in COLOR. b00y4h.

01-21-2004, 1655: Fanbase? We have a FANBASE?!?!? W00!
Today's comic is a fancomic, donated by Mary. Since she hasn't returned my email (not surprising, as I sent it out about 20 minutes ago), I will not disclose her email to the general public without her permission, because I know I hate it when that happens to me.
Anyways, I would've gotten my computers networked this weekened, but I was shanghaied (aka-kidnapped) by the english-irisih mafia that is known as my parents, and spent a weekend in San Fransisco so I could see Rachel. *sigh* Anyways, I'll see if I can get Zach to get over here on Saturday to help me with this, problem. I want to make color comics, damnit! (I have photoshop! Whee!)
Also - after many complaints from Parco and at least 1 email from a person who saw my fanart at Antihero for Hire (the fanart page is here.), I have fixed most, if not all, of the broken links. w00!
Anyways, More newsposts as events warrant.

1-12-2004, 1546: I'm having a bit of a crisis here. The details are all in the image for the comic. And it's all true. I have no fucking clue how to network my old PC to my alienware. SOMEBODY HELP ME!
I have a friend who's coming over (who, actually, is N1nj4 b0b) who is going to help me with the networking thing. By then, I hope to discover a way to actually scan in images. Until then (and it probably won't be for another week now) there will be no new comics. As soon as I get this problem rectified, I will notify you.
By posting a comic.

01-08-2004, 2150: I GOT MY ALIENWARE! W00! *does a funky jiig*
*aherm*
Yes, I got my new computer. No, I am not using it right now. Why? Because the parent's don't want it distrating me from my skool work. However, there is one thing - it came in a really, really big box. As soon as the photos develop, I'll post them in the extras portion for all to see. W00!
A note - I have played Halo:PC, but I don't own it. Yet. I have the money, and all I need is a way to get to EB. I will, hopefully, have it within the next week or so.
Oh, and something else worth noting - the comic was done is a slightly different style. I hope people like it.
Another thing to note - I GOT THE COMIC IN ON TIME!
Duo out.
01-08-2004, 0702: Ok, here's the thing. The reason that I didn't get around to updating yesterday was because I am studying for finals. That and I was really fucking tired. I had forgotten just how much skool drained me.
I think I missed a few emails, saying that my alienware had gotten work on it, because I recieved an email on the 5th (which I didn't get until the 7th, when I checked my email) saying that my Alienware was being shipped. I don't even remember them building the damn thing, but WHO CARES! I'm getting my Alienware! w00!
However, there is something that I need to tell you - the comics won't be in color for a while. Why? Because I got Photoshop for x-mas... but the people who sent it fucked up, and sent me one that was designed for Mac Os X. Cockbiting fucktards.
Anyways, I have a couple of references in the two strips. The main reference is, of course, Halo, since this is the new storyline (also the newest game that I'm getting for my new comp! w00!), but the comic for the 7th (on top) has a reference to Red Vs. Blue, a funny site with a lot of movies using Halo skins in multiplayer, but... oh, see it for yourself. It's really funny. The other reference is in the seccond comic for the 8th. It has a reference to Animal House. ("He's right." "He's absolutely right." "Exactly. You know what we need now?" "Yup." "TOGA PARTY.")
Anyways, I gotta get to skool now.
But before I forget - I got fanart! My girlfriend Rachel is into Zim, and drew her character with a modifed Pak. I'll do a storyline with that Pak, since it get's around... And yes, it's supposed to have that many legs. More legs means more CONTROL! MWAHAHAHAHA!
*aherm*
Also before I forget - New Parco sprite comic, in a more linear format. Mmyep.

01-01-2004, 0002: W00! I got the comic up in time! See, what I was shooting for was getting it up at the same time as the comic was to take place, so technically, I got it up on time!
I'd talk more, but I have stuff to do. You know, like play games till my eyes bleed. :P

12-31-2003, 1136: Sorry about the late update folks - I really was playing FFX all last night, and I overslept, so I'm just now getting to the comic. Anyways...
Happy new year everyone! My new years resolution is to get the comic in on time for all to see! Early, even!
Parco and I have decided that when I get my Alienware (the slow bastards are still on phase 8: On queue to be built. Bastards), one of the things that we're going to do (aside from make the comic all spiffah) is make a Mega Man flash movie. If all goes well, then we'll use some of the music from Overclocked Remixes in the movie, so it'll be even cooler. Seriously, go over there. Right now. The remixes of all my favorite old games are there, and those remixes are incredibly cool. Parco was the one that introduced me to it, and for that I thank him.
Speaking of Parco - I know you finished the sprite comic, but it was my fault that it's not up - when you sent it to me through AIM, I closed the window before I got it. Sorry. Send it again, and I'll post it.
Oh, and Parco? Good luck evading Hoot's attempts to destroy your subclassed character in FFXI.

12-28-2003, 2155: Todays comic is a bit different. Instead of scanning it in at 100dpi like I usually do, I scanned it in at 300, and just scaled it down in the site. If you want a bigger picture of the comic, click here.
I saw LotR on Friday. Wow. Just... just wow. If I hadn't known that movie was 3 and a half hours, I wouldn't have known it, since all my attention was focused on the movie. It was THAT good. Unlike some other movies that try to make themselves be epics, but are made by washed up directiors who've forgotten the true meaning of Cinema *coughminorityreportcoughandcoughstarwarscough*
When I make a review page of my own, I'll write a review on it.
Also, I finally got a PS2. Expect some reviews of new games for that in the coming weeks, since the blockbuster is only down the road. Booyah.

12-25-2003, 2238: Well... The comic is explination enough for why there is no comic.

12-24-2003, 0820: MERRY X-MAS! Or, night or day before x-mas. Wahoo. I hope you're in a giving enough mood to forget the late update.
The official end to the LotR storyline. It was fun while it lasted, but now it's time to do lots of other shit. Namely, wait for the jolly fat man, and open up a whole fuckton of presents. Unfortunately, the people at Alienware are going really slow with the whole making my computer process. I'll be surprised if I get it before newyears of NEXT year.
Oh, just so you know - I'd type more, but I have to get to my uncle mikes cabin, and spend the whole day there. Just be glad I'm bringing a clipboard.
Duo out.
12-22-2003, 2013: Another on-time update. Wow. I'm starting to amaze myself here. Ah well. Hopefully, the novelty will wear off in a day or two.
Some of you may be wondering what the hell that big lump in the bottom panel is supposed to be. Well, I was trying to draw Caras Galadhon, where the Great Tree of Lorien is, but I couldn't draw it quite right - even with a reference photo (you can see the photo here). Anyways, That's what it's supposed to be, and I'm sorry if it stinks. On to other news.
The trailer for the new spider man movie is out, but you probably already knew that. However, I only just saw it last night, and I just wanted to say that visually, it looks cool. Doc Ocs extra arms are really cool looking, and the first bit where he throws the car into the cafe was cool, but I probably wont understand why he did that until I see the movie. I think he knows who spider man is, or else he just wanted to cause some random carnage.
More movie news: Devil May Cry is going to become a movie. Wow. Read it for youself: http://www.animaxis.com/en/zine/newsletter/view.asp?id=N001062. Yeah. Wow. I hope they don't fuck this up like hollywood has done countless times before with movie adaptations of video games. They ruined D&D, trashed Final Fantasy, murdered Mortal Kombat (Parco says he liked it, however. I don't get it), and countless other movies has simply mutilated the games they are supposed to portray. Oh well.
More LotR goodness on the way tomorrow. BOOYAH!
Duo out.
12-21-2003, 2046: Wow. I'm getting this update in, not only on time - but early! WOW! IT'S SO AMAZERING!
*aherm* Whatever.
I really like this comic. I don't know why, but I do. Maybe it's because I spent the longest on it, now that I at least have my internet back. I was able to use resources from The Quintessential LotR website, and from Swords Online to finish this. Maybe it's because I actually got Aragorn's costume right for once. Maybe. But I actually think that the reason I like this comic so much is that Rachel kicks the Witchking's ass. I mean HOW COOL IS THAT?!?
Anyways, I finally convinced Parco and Hoot to play the Star Wars roleplaying game. And by convinced, I mean found a time and place that allowed us to play. I've had the character sheets for those two written up for almost a month and a half, and we haven't really found time to play it. So yeah. In case you're wondering, Parco is a damn tall wookie scout called Aztherloq, and Hoot is an ex-bodyguard human soldier called (how origional) Hoot. Yeah. I'm going to include those two characters (and mine: who is an Irken from Invader Zim. It's a long and complicated story that I came up with to include that species in a Star Wars game, which I'll explain someday in the extras section.) in the comic sometime in the future. Yeah.
The LotR storyline continues tomorrow.
Duo out.
12-21-2003, 1014: Ok. Sorry for the lack of an explination, but I've been busy (AKA: slavedriver mom forcing me to work nigh 4 hours a day on skool work that doesn't need to be done except in the court of mom), and theres something else. For some reason, my internet has been going on and off, and I only just realized why last night at around 2230. See, my dad suggested that I move the cable modem off the top of my computer (it was sitting on top, taped there with masking tape to keep it from moving), because the computer "generates a lot of vibrations" and other stuff that supposedly disrupted the modem. Well, he also suggested that I move it to the platform above my monitor. I complyed, lest I invoke the wrath of dad, and LO! It turns out that the monitor is generating about 5 times as much heat and vibrations as the top of my computer (my computer is very cold, thank you very much). So I moved it back, and my internet has worked fine since then. And dad thinks he knows about computers. Feh.
The alienware is in Phase 8 now (Your system is now on queue and waiting to be assembled, integrated and inspected by quality assurance.), so by my estimates, my computer will not be here until after christmas. It seems like by the time I get it, and I finally get to play with Hoot and Parco on Warcraft, I wont be able to play with them anyways because World of Warcraft will be out. Don't you just hate how this works? Anyways.
The storyline of the three of us being trapped in Tolkein's Middle Earth will probably last until christmas, when we have the special Christmas episode. I won't tell you what happens, but we will find Gandalf before Wednesday. And yes, he will be Gandalf the White.
Speaking of such things, I will not get to see Return of the King until possibly either tomorrow or the next day. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I can't wait that long! I needs it... we needs the preciousss...
*slap*
Duo: Thank you Parco.
Parco: Next time you act like Gollum, I'm bringing out the Supreme Ethereal Hammer of Bludgeoning +5.
Duo: Right. You do that. And while we're at it, care to explain why there is no new sprite comic this week (yes, it's not my fault this time)
Parco: Oh... eh... um... *dash*
Whatever. Duo out.
12-20-2003, 0125: Well. I hate these double updates, and if I have anything to say over this winter break, it is this: this will hopefully be the last.
A continuation of the LotR storyline. And continuity is going to go downhill from this comic onward. It'll be a LotR style RPG rather than the actual story of the one ring. Besides, in the book Arwen stayed in Rivendell, away from all the action, and we can't have that, now can we? Expect Rachel/Arwen to kick some serious ass in the coming days.
I would type more right now, but my mom is right behind me, pounding on my door, since I was supposed to be asleep 30 minutes ago. Ah well. I'll continue the rant for the update tomorrow.
Duo out
12-17-2003, 0659: Well. This isn't exactly a late update, but it isn't early either. Ah well.
Sorry folks, no funny today. I really wanted to do something special, seeing as how *aherm* LORD OF THE RINGS OPENS TODAY!!! WOOHOO!! So yeah. I was watching the trillogy, and I saw this scene, and I said "Wow. For some odd reason , this scene reminds me of Rachel and I..." and then I phased out for about 2 minutes thinkning about Rachel... yeah... *shakes head*
Alrighty. Just so you know - this comic has two (yes, count em - TWO) parts to it. It's essentially the same comic, but without the subtitles :P.
You can view the alternate version with the Tengwar cursive font (typed in the Elvish) here.
Duo out.
12-16-2003, 0702: AAAAAARG! I hate these fucking double updates! I hate them! I hates them so fucking much!
Oi. Enough of that. Actually, I'm getting the rest of the weeks comics done this afternoon, and then on saturday (the first full day of winter break! w00t!) I'm going to finish the next week, and then upload them all, so that all I have to do is just do this ranty thing down here, and I'll be able to get the comics up on time. WOOHOO!
Anyways. You may have guessed that this week (and possibly next week) is going to be a LotR storyline. I really don't care if I like the 3rd movie or not, since I'm really going more by the books. I'm just using the imagery from the movie (Like if I were to make a Dune storyline, which I won't, thank god, I would use the imagery from the Sci Fi channel miniseries). But that is beside the point. The point is that we are going to have a LotR storyline. And that by itself kicks all kinds of ass.
Duo out, because I got to get to skool.
12-13-2003, 0130: Damnit. I hate having to do these double updates like this. Ah well. The only reason for this was because I wasn't allowed on the computer after 1900 last night. Meh. Long story, you don't want to hear it.
You may notice it's a little later than usual. This is because I have a little more time on the computer TONIGHT, because I had a lot of homework. I finally finished it, and decided that I WAS going to get this page updated and uploaded for your viewing pleasure.
You may also notice that these two comics are in a slightly different style: I didn't erase the sketchy lines. No, that isn't a mistake. Yes, I left them there on purpose. I think they look better - more stylistic, to be honest. Besides, it also gives them a more unique art style feel to them (w00tness has an art style?!?!?)
However, I'm really fucking tired, so I'm going to bed now.
Meh.
Duo out.
PS - New Parco sprite comic.
12-12-2003, 0702: Meh. I'm sorry about the late comic. Again. You know, I should just move the update time to around 0700 instead of 2130.
The final installment of the "Where is Hoot?" Mini story arc. I have another story planned, and yes, before you ask, I'm going to do something for LotR on the 17 (which, incidentally, is exactly 2 weeks after I ordered the Alienware. Today is exactly 1 week. Speaking of the Alienware, it's now on "Phase 5: (Pre-Production Inventory Queue phase) Your system is now on queue and awaiting inventory inspection and audit." Direct from the site.). Why am I going to so something on LotR? Because I've seen the trailer, read the books, and if the first two were any indication, then this movie is going to be as true to the book as a movie can be, while kicking innumerable amounts of ass. I really can't wait a week (possibly more for me, since my parents are like that) to see this movie - especially the battle at Pelennor Feilds.
Anyways, while we're on the subject of fantasy movies coming out soon, has anyone other than me seen the Harry Potter movie trailer? Good god. I don't what the hell they are thinking. My girlfriend told me about it, and I have to voice my opinion now - whoever did the casting for that movie should be shot. Sirius is... he's... he doesn't look like Sirius should. His hair is curly for cryin out loud! He's fat,his hair is curly, and he has a fucking moustache. Meh. And to think that I was actually thinking of maybe going to the movie.
Whatever. Back to LotR. As you can guess, I'm going to be obsessing on this for a while. Along with a lot of the old classic trillogies. And when I say classics, I mean my kinds of classics (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Alien, Back to the Future, The Godfather, etc. etc...). And the coolest part is that I finally found a model of The One Ring. I'm going to wear it on a chain around my neck for the movie. No... you can't have's its... It's mine... you're trixes don't works on ussssss..... it is ourssss.... my precioussssss....
Duo out.
12-08-2003, 2123: Wow. An on-time update. Amazering.
Anyways, this is a continuation of the mini story arc where I've forgotten that I locked Hoot in the stasis feild earlier. To be honest, I actually didn't want to even mention him until about February, but hoot promised to hit me about 500 times in the nuts with frozen paintballs when we go paintballing. So, yeah, I kind of sped it up a bit.
How long will this story arc go on? I'm not sure. To be honest, I'm really just stalling until I get more ideas for one shots. And, seeing as how the only people who really read this comic are the people to whom I talk on a regular basis, and this doesn't really have that big of a fanbase, I don't think it's going to matter much.
My alienware is getting ready. I've been tracking it, and the last time I checked, it was in phase 4 of 14, which means they were checking the configuration of the computer before they order and inspect all the parts. Glee!
Also, Parco is feverently training me in the ways of Warcraft III, so that I don't completely suck still. However, I really don't think that he's going to train me enough so that I'll be able to pwn him in games, since, as I've been told on a regular basis, "I have no skillz"
Whatever.
Anyways, I'll actually try and get the comic updated on time from now on, but no promises.
Duo out.
12-07-2003, 2135: Well, here's the two comics. I would've gotten the top comic up on friday, but I had a lot of crap to do. Plus, Parco is training me in the elite ways of Warcraft III, so that's taking up a lot of free time as well.
Anyways, this is the end of the soda war, and also the beginning of a mini story arc, following Hoot's adventures in the stasis feild.
Also, there's a new parco sprite comic. I also wanted to get that up on Friday, but didn't find time.
Parco: That means he's a lazy bastard.
Duo: Whatever.
12-03-2003, 2112: Well. The comic is self explanatory, if you ask me. And for windows users, this is a problem that you have encountered all too frequently. Should've installed Linux on it, Parco... should've installed Linux.
Anyways, that really isn't why I'm in such a good mood. I'm in a good mood because at approximately 1530 today, I placed an order for my new computer! YAY! I'm finally getting the computer of my dreams - an Alienware! 3GhZ, 120Gb, 1Gb RAM, Nividia GeForce X graphics cards - You have no idea how much this means to me, or even how much of a giant leap this is from the computer I'm using to type this. To give you an idea, my computer right now is what cavemen used to chip out messages on slabs of rock using a sharper rock like in the Flintstones, while the Alienware that is coming is HAL, without the homicidal tendencies.
I hope.
Anyways, the comic will finally be able to have Warcraft jokes, as I have ordered Warcraft III, and Frozen Throne to ship with the system. w00t!
Tomorrow will be the conclusion of the Soda War, I promise. And I'll also get the new Parco Comic up as well.
Duo out.
12-03-2003, 0702: Ugh. Sorry. I would've had this up last night, but I was tired. sorry. And now I have to go to skool, so I don't really have time to talk here either. I promise I'll rant on Friday, because then I KNOW I'll have some shit to write about.
12-02-2003, 1646: Damnit. I'm really sorry about the late comic. To make it up to you, I'm going to leave it up when I post tomorrows comic. Besides, it makes more sense with tomorrows comic anyways.
Oh, and I'd like to apologize to the makers of Gundam Wing and Mega Man for using the Gundam Deathscythe Hell Custom and the Gaia armor from the Mega Man X series.
But this is a parody anyways. So... yeah. Whatever. I'll at least get tomorrows comic up on time.
11-30-2003, 2127: Wow. We are really closing in on x-mas, aren't we? I'd say more, but I really don't feel like it.
The continuation of the Soda War. Finally, the big battle scene is about to commence. WOOHOO!
I am done.
11-30-2003, 1611: Oops. It seems Parco gave me the sprite comics, and I just forgot to save them... heh...
Parco: BASTARD!
Duo: Meh. I put it up, didn't I?
Parco: Late. Idiot. Why didn't you save it?
Duo: I have other things on my mind.
Parco: Like what?
Duo: Like... like... shit. Ah well, I put in on top, didn't I?
Parco: Yes. Yes you did. But still. Get it up on time next week.
11-28-2003, 1006: Ugh... sorry about the late update everyone. I really didn't mean it.
Just so you know, the Stasis Feild is, for those who don't know, is another in joke from Starcraft. But why did I lock hoot in a suspended animation feild? Two reasons. The first is mostly because it'll move along the plot. The seccond is that Hoot called Tetris... he called it... HE CALLED TETRIS GAY DAMNIT! He had to pay!!! Which means that there will be more episodes devoted to making Hoot look like an ass.
Next week is the week of the actual fight scene. It'll be kick-ass. Trust me.
11-26-2003, 2140: The BIGGEST UPDATE in the short, short, almost infintessimally small history of w00tness. It is the Thanksgiving episode, and it is something I wasnted to do since we started. Just having a bunch of really big comics, each for a different character. It works a lot better than the Halloween style last time. In fact, I actually wanted to do that in this style, but I was pressed for time on Halloween, so I did it in the other style.
I may fix it eventually, but right now, the main thing you should be worried about is this - will the storyline for the great Soda War of '03 continue?
Of course it will, you fool. You didn't think I was going to miss a chance to deviate from the storyline, tho, did you?
The story shall continue tomorrow, and also, be on the lookout for sprite comics that may turn up, courtesy of Parco.
11-26-2003, 0702: Sorry for the late update everyone. Things have been kind of hectic lately. To say that I put this off till the last minute because I'm a lazy bastard would be a big ass lie - I procrastinated because of the amount of homework I recieved. However, I will make up with it for the special thanksgiving episode. It's a really big update. I mean huge. It's like 6 comics for the price of 1! And thus is the ways of w00tness!
Anyways, Parco feels that he should do more to the site than simply Parco's Reviews. And so, since he has some odd facination with Mega man sprite comics (I read one, he reads about 5. And since he's not here when I'm typing this, it's not that accurate a representation), Parco thinks that during the weekends, I should post a Mega Man sprite comic, done by Parco.
His reasoning is that it might deter away from my hack art. So after that, I said "Go for it."
Expect to see some sprite comics on the weekend in the near future.
***END UPDATE***
11-24-2003, 2110: Back to the after-2100-updates again. Ah well. I knew it couldn't last.
Continuation of the Soda War Storyline. As you can see, that laboratory gives Duo a big advantage. I really don't think that a guy in Plate Mail armor has much of a chance against a gundam, do you?
But the tides of war may shift....
***END UPDATE***
11-23-2003, 1909: Another early comic. This is the first comic of w00tness' first storyline: The Soda War! I really thought that I'd have more to say about this comic, but I really don't.
An interesting thing to note, however, is that this is the first comic since halloween to feature all the characters in the comic. Just an interesting little tidbit of w00tness trivia.
***END UPDATE***
11-20-2003, 1812: You may be noticing something very odd - I actually got an update in not only on time - but EARLY! *gasp!* The main reason I got the comics so late was only because I was stalling for time for this comic - you see, I wanted to start w00tness' first storyline, the Great Soda War of '03.
This was an idea that Parco and I had planned to do since the idea of w00tness came into my head, mainly because Parco and I have differeing tastes in soda. Anyways, this has led to endless debates under the tree as to which soda is truly better - Pepsi or Coke?
Will the question be answered in this storyline? Possibly. All I know is that you should evpect some of the comics to be very action packed, with Mech fights, plasma flechettes, and Megaman blasters filled with compressed soda. It's gonna be a fun week.
***END UPDATE***
11-19-2003, 2115: The comic is up. I really don't have much to say about it, since I didn't really think it through like some of the others. I'm running out of one shot ideas. Which can mean only one thing: next week, the first storyline will be up. W00T!
Anyways, in case you don't understand what I just said in the comic, here's what it says: |*|23|*4|23 |=0|2 4 45$ \/\/}{|_||*i|\|! means in l33t sp34k "Prepare for an ass whupin!"
And I really do only speak in l33t now either as a joke or when I really HAVE inhaled pure oxygen.
***END UPDATE***
11-19-2003, 0709: Alright, this is getting ridiculous. I'm going to work on the site during lunch, so I'll make the nissicary changes then. Ugh. I hate skool.
***END UPDATE***
11-18-2003, 0701: Damnit. Another double post. I meant to get this in last night, but I didn't. Here are the two comics which should've been up last night at 2100, but weren't. I'd write more, but I need to get to skool. Duo out.
***END UPDATE***
11-17-2003, 0702: The comic will be late today. So late in fact, that there will probably be a double post. I hate having to do this, but this time, it really wasn't my fault! You see, the IDIOTS at the school paper (who I went to for a cartooning job) asked me to draw 3 comics with less than 12 hours notice. Ugh.
Anyways, I was able to do that, and in doing so, forfeited my drawing time for the comic. I haven't even gotten it inked yet. So yeah.
Comic will be up sometime this afternoon.
***END UPDATE***
11-14-2003, 0657: Sorry for not getting this up with the comic (around 2100-ish...), but I had to sleep. If anyone reads my crap at Johnny the Homicidal Irken, then you know my stance on sleep. And so on...
I really liked that little Black Mage in the comic yesterday, and so I decided to use it on todays comic. Yet it is so text-heavy. Yarg. Anyways, I thought that him just bitching about his predicament would be funny, and then we find out just how small he is in the last panel would be funny. I mean, I showed the unfinished comic, with no words at all and only the 4 panels to my friends in French class, and they just thought it looked hillarious. Which reminds me...
Look closely in the last panel. That has to be the luckiest Black Mage on Earth. And if you don't know what I mean, then you aren't looking hard enough.
I'll try and fix some stuff around the site (art page, with nothing in it, contact page with nothing in it, etc, etc,) and Parco says he'll get me another review for the review page. He would've gotten a review for FFXI, but he's one of those reviewers that likes to play through the entire game almost 3 times before he gives it a ruling.
I've also been trying to get to the new Matrix Movie, but I keep thinking to myself "What if it's so bad I'll want to gouge my eyes out with spoons so that they can never be defiled in such a way again?" Seriously, that's what I'm thinking to myself. But I'll try my hardest to not have anything to do this Sunday, because that's when I might go.
***END UPDATE***
11-13-2003, 0705: Well, I'm feeling a bit better, and this is proven in the fact that I've gotten today's comic up in a semi-timely fashion. I'll try and do better tomorrow.
Rachel is finally in the comic! W00H00! In case you haven't figured out, Rachel is my girlfriend, and for some odd reason I haven't been adding her in the comic. Maybe it's because I'm afraid of making fun of her in the comic, or it could just be that I have no real funny ideas that involve her character. mmyep.
Todays comic I passed by everyone (yes, the people that inspired these characters do exist), and for some odd reason, Hoot was the only one who didn't like it.
And as a final thought, I just love that little black mage (Toasty!)
***END UPDATE***
11-12-2003, 0702: Ugh. I feel like a truck ran over me. Twice. Not only did I have Flu-like symptoms all of yesterday which gave me a pounding headache, I had so much homework on Veterans Day that when I was finally finished, I didn't want to do anything but play Starcraft all afternoon.
However, I did draw these comics, and I even have a special one for Veterans Day in this double post. However, it will not look like a double post in the archives, it'll just look like (if you ARE reading the archives) this page.
Whatever.
I am angry. Why am I angry? Because I haven't seen Matrix. I know everyone says it sucks, but I've lowered my standards enough to realize that the third attempt to remake the origional Fluke (the first Matrix) will be what the Wachowsis (or however their last name is spelled) wanted to do in the first place: make a live action anime. So basically I just want to go for the FX, because I don't think ther'll be enough plot to fill a teaspoon.
Oh and one other thing: The above comic was two things: an actual conversation *GASP!*, and it was a joke on what Parco does before starting any game of SC. He (usually) gets the last word of "Boobies" before we actually start the game.
***END UPDATE***
11-10-2003, 2036: how very lovely. My life is still shit, so I'm not being lazy, my parents are causing me problems to no end, while still feverntly claiming I'm the source of it when they themselves don't fucking listen to anything I say. I'll try and get the comic up tomorrow, once I draw it. Until then, you have the lovely image above to let you know just how fucked up my life is.
Oh, and another thing: I'll have to change yesterday's comic. I had Moog saying that he loved FFVIII, when it's FFVII. He likes 7 more. He even called to tell me what a fucking dumbass I was for it.
I hate people.
***END UPDATE***
11-09-2003, 2010: Ugh. You don't want to know how my day has been. So I'm not going to tell you. Just enjoy the comic.
***END UPDATE***
11-06-2003, 2055: Well. The end of the first full week of strips for w00tness. To be honest, I didn't think that I would really get even this far. The comics, admittedly, are incredibly crude, but this is because I don't have Photoshop. Or a computer that can handle Photoshop, for that matter. (In case you are wondering, my computer is an unmodified Compaq Presario 5170 from 98, with a Pentium II 347MhZ processor. And at the moment, I have about 1.6 gigs of free memory on the 10 gig hard drive. Sad, isn't it? Especially so since the thing crashed 6 times in 2 hours last night.)
Anyways, enough of my lamentations about what a shitty computer I have. Eventually my parents are going to cave and get me an Alienware. That shall be the happiest day of my life when that happens.
The comic today is a little in joke that I've been planning since the conception of w00tness so, so long ago. The reason that Parco and I chose Starcraft as the game instead of something like Warcraft III or something more current was merely because of my computer mentioned above, not being powerful enough to play WCIII. Besides, Starcraft still kicks ass. And as you can see on it, I kick ass as well. Let's just say that I can triple my forces thanks to the almighty powers of the Dark Archons.
Booyah.
***END UPDATE***
11-05-2003, 2124: Have you ever had one of those days? You know the ones I'm talking about. You know it's only been a day, but it feels like a week has passed since you got up, and the morning just seems so distant to what really happened.
...
Whatever. Anyways, the above is a joke that comes from the excruciatingly long load times of FF XI. Parco, who is the one who does the reviews for the site (or will be the reviewer when I get around to getting the page up) has already assured me that the 4 hour and 5 disk loading period of the game is well worth it, saying that "FF XI owns you. It is better than you, and better than what you will ever be." Whatever. All I know is that my current computer is shit, and it can never hope to play FF XI, even after going through the best overclocking job in the world. It sucks that much. So anyways.
I'll try and get some more stuff this weekend. I doubt it, however, since I have Drivers Ed and I'm going to see Matrix Revolutions. I really should go to the film festival, but something is compelling me to see the Matrix movie. I don't know why.
Oh, by the way: Happy Matrix Day.
***END UPDATE***
11-05-2003, 0925: Alright, I updated the site a bit. I made a spiffeh new interface, but none of the buttons really work.
***END UPDATE***
11-04-2003, 2137: No rant tonight. However, I don't go to skool until 1030 tomorrow, so I'll be able to work on it. I'll get a rant up tomorrow, I'm just tired tonight.
***END UPDATE***
11-03-2003, 1937: I fucking hate my life. I have too much god damn homework, I'm not done with that gift I promised Scott Ramsoomair a fucking week ago, and I do believe that I'm going to flunk out of Sophmore year in high school. On top of that, nothing seems to be going right in life, I have a really fucking nasty cramp in my stomach which has kept me from eating, and my parents are on my ass for not doing my homework. It seems that nowadays, my entire life is governed by school work. I haven't even been to any movies yet, and I doubt I'm going to get to see Matrix Revolutions when it comes out. Hell, I have so much god damn homework, I'd be surprised if I'm finished in time to see FUCKING STAR WARS EPISODE THREE!
In short, this week has been shit, and it's only Monday.
However, I'll try and get the comics up. Just leave me the hell alone.
***END UPDATE***
11-02-2003, 1954: I'm updating a little early, and will do so from now on for two reasons - 1st reason is that I feel I've been neglecting the site (I haven't done any of the updates to the actual site that I said I would do, because I had too much homework this weekend), and 2 - I hate my parents. Apparently I'm not supposed to be up past 2100, so now I'm getting the door taken off it's hinges so I'm not compelled to get on the computer after that time.
feh.
Anyways, I'm going to try and work on the site little by little over the week. It'll look more polished in a week or so. I hope.

10-30-2003, 2215: (Update to the update: 10-31-2003, 0645) For those who are only slightly interested, here is everyone in the Halloween comic, all in costumes! Here's a run through:
That's it for tonight. I'll get more tomorrow. And since I have no skool, I'll make sure to have an overhaul of the website.
***END UPDATE***
10-29-2003, 2308: This comic is up right now so it'll be up for tomorrow, but that isn't the point right now. Here's the point - w00tnees is offcially a GO! w00t! w00t! b00y4h!
...
Ok, I admit that was just wrong. Anyways, the site is still pretty bare bones right now, but that'll change during the weekend, when I revamp the site with spiffeh graphics and shit. Mmyep. But, I will keep you posted on events. *Duo Out*
***END UPDATE***
10-28-2003, 2350: Alright, I promised for at least 2 days notice - and technically, this is two days notice. The comic will be up on Thursday. Which means I need to work my ass off. (Alright, I posted. Now Parco, please, GET OFF MY ASS!)
***END UPDATE***
10-15-2003, 2345: Just so you know, I've decided to take out three of the characters. I never really talk to them anymore, and it just didn't seem right to have them in the comic. Besides, they weren't that big of players in the comic anyways, so it's not that big a deal. However, another one of my friends (he was Parco's friend before me) that I'm adding that I actually talk to on a semi regular basis is up - his name be Hoot.
***END UPDATE***
10-12-2003, 0423: Ok, so I lied earlier about the comic being up by the 1st. Well, not exaclty lied, but more like miscalculated. I really wanted it to be up by now, and already be about 12 strips in, but I really haven't had time to work on it. I mean, hell, I can barely finish my homework, and I'm only getting this up because I've stayed up all night. I've done some work on the comic, but not enough to get it up within the hour. I'll notify you at least 2 days before I'm ready to upload the comic totally.
***END UPDATE***
9-21-2003, 0126: Expect the comic to be up by the 1st of October. Also, the new site adress is http://clix.to/w00tness.
***END UPDATE***
9-20-2003, 1141: Wow. This is taking a lot longer than I expected. I've got a lot of work to do, what with skool and all. I haven't even updated my JTHI page either (not including the Once Upon A Time in Mexico review I'm gonna get up later tonight.)
Just so you know what is going on, I've been drawing a whole lot of comics fevereshly, and I haven't gotten the chance to scan them in. Half of them aren't even inked yet, but I wanna make sure that I get at least 20 uploaded before I go public with this, so that I give myself a little leeway to come up with more, so I'm really not pressed to keep updating, and I don't have the picture even drawn at 2359 the night before I'm supposed to update. So yeah.
In other words, this is going to be one tough bitch to tackle. I'll update as soon as 20 comics are finished. Oh, and don't expect any of the comics to be in color either - I don't have Photoshop, so it's kind of out of my power.
***END UPDATE***
